  • WPA/WPA2/WPA3, WEP or open networks
  • Generated right in your browser
Example: scan to join “Cafe Guest”

How to create a Wi-Fi QR code

  1. 01

    Enter the network name

Type the SSID exactly as it appears in your phone's Wi-Fi list — it's case-sensitive.

  2. 02

    Add password and security

Enter the password and choose WPA/WPA2/WPA3 (most routers), WEP or no password.

  3. 03

    Download and print

Pick the “Guest Wi-Fi” template or your own colors and print it as a table card or wall sign.

Who uses Wi-Fi QR codes

Cafés and restaurants

Put a code on tables and the counter instead of answering “what's the Wi-Fi?” all day.

Hotels and rentals

Add it to the welcome card or fridge magnet in every room or apartment.

Offices and coworkings

A guest network code at reception for visitors and clients.

At home

Friends and family connect without you reading out a 20-character password.

How a Wi-Fi QR code works

The code contains your network details in a standard format that phone cameras understand: network name, security type and password. When scanned, iOS and Android show a “Join network” prompt — one tap and the guest is online.

Because the password is written into the code itself, a Wi-Fi QR code is always static. QRCraft generates it right in your browser — the password is only stored if you choose to save the code to your account.

Keep your network safe

Anyone who can scan the code can join, so share your guest network rather than the one your own devices use. Most routers can create a separate guest network in a couple of minutes.

If you change the Wi-Fi password, generate a new code and replace the printed ones — the old code will stop working because it contains the old password.

Frequently asked questions

Does a Wi-Fi QR code work on iPhone?+

Yes. The built-in Camera app on iOS 11 and later recognizes Wi-Fi QR codes, as do Android phones from version 10 (and most older ones with Google Lens).

Is my Wi-Fi password stored anywhere?+

Not unless you save the code to your account. Without an account, the code is generated in your browser and nothing is sent to QRCraft servers.

What if my network is hidden?+

Tick “Hidden network” when creating the code so phones know to look for a network that doesn't broadcast its name.

Can I change the password later without reprinting?+

No — the password is inside the code. After changing it, create and print a new code.
